Views on experience with my latest trip to Ajanta-Ellora Caves

Disclaimer:
THis post has no resemblance to any single person or any sex in particular. Neither it is against any the rich heritage of India and its present development.
It is purely sharing a thought that wildly crossed my mind.
Lately i went to visit Ajanta and Ellora Caves...
Since i went alone i had a lot of time to think abt the visit while coming back
There were 2 different aspects:
1. How much people can accept single women as tourists?
- People spot very soon that u r alone
- they really cant digest to c that
- a man if travels alone grabs no attention.
Makes me say, that the society that we are growing into is much more hypocrite than we think and we realize this much more with every forthcoming experience.
We say that women are being given freedom to do things alone, but why still a fear dawns upon a woman when she does something new against the conventional thoughts of society that probably hurts the ego of a man somewhere deep within.
2. THe caves were wonderful. The rock-cut caves had paintings on verandahs (made all from natural colors-Vanaspatis), inner walls and ceilings, these revealed some of the most beautiful masterpieces of world art.. I just wondered that without the modern jargons of "PROJECT/ DEADLINES/EQUIPMENTS/ MATERIAL MANAGEMENTS/ SUPPLY CHAIN etc" how without any blueprints were these enormous creations created?
What was the sense of art the people in those times had that we lack now?
What should we be more proud of- The rich heritage we have which never used a tinge of technology but only an extreme sense of vision of art which has now lost coz we fail to recognize the art or
Creations like the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway (38.4 Km long world’s longest overseas bridge) ,the worli sea link(India’s first creation), and things alike which are meant for public use but has costed us a hefty amount.
What are different perceptions? What are the ideologies?
What will we preserve more? What is more important for the nation- A rich heritage or a developed state ?
Please share your views on both the aspects.

Well, what good is a country having rich heritage and surviving by the mercy of the 'World Bank'...

India ranks second in terms of population, so..what is stopping us from being self-sufficient????

How much ever scientifically advanced we get, we are really just a bunch of 'suckers of traditional values'

Talking of 'Preservation'.. of course, the age old monuments have to be Treasured.. they are a source of Income. But along with the Heritage.. we also preserve the age old traditions and customs which ought to have turned obsolete decades ago.

Imagine going to a place to see a magnificent piece of 'History' and also being able to see women treated like 'Dirt' (could have used a more explicit term here..)

Can we ever Change???????

Are these two scenes mutually exclusive? Can't a rich heritage and a developed state survive together? There can be a head Vs tail (you got to select one and leave one as they are mutually exclusive in one event) but can't be rich heritage vs developed state.

I believe these are supportive scenarios, a developed state can better preserve a rich heritage. And a nation with rich heritage has right moral to be a developed nation in turest sense.

Neither of the two are totally dependent upon those whom we elect or on those who are paid to preserve or develop them. It rather depend on us, in many ways.

On the first point,
1. Good that u still travel alone. :)
2. Is it the self obsesson that makes you feel questioned when you are touring alone.
3. May be not many women travel alone so you get more attention.
4. Yeah... I never got any attention travelling alone, so you are one up. :)
5. Jokes apart... we are still a close mind society to make womens feel being watched when alone.... but tell you they are being watched even when not alone.
6. Societies evolve with time... till then enjoy the attention .. good or bed. :P :D

Hey vikrant
Quite a lot of times when i read ur reply i thot to reply u....
When u talked of supprtive scenarios. ..it made me think dat majority of developed states in the world did not hv a v rich heritage....
All that they hv developed is coz they live in present and dream and execute the thots of improving thr future....

But as DEVIL says...we are second interms of population...n do we really mk sense of such heavy numbers....or its jus a breed of impotent minds dat d existing population is replicating along wid its own existance...

Anywys....the ur reply to my blog is v old....bt i really appreciate ur thot....thnx bro...
